  • Diploma in Counselling
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Education
  • HPC Registered Practitioner
  • BUPA Registered Practitioner

I am a founder member of the BPS Special Group in Coaching Psychology.

Experience

I set up the Counselling Service at Salisbury and District Well Woman Centre and worked as a counsellor there for twelve years. I was also a member of the Management Committee and involved in fundraising when the Centre was awarded National Lottery funding and a grant from the Opportunities for Volunteers organisation.

I was a Lecturer in Psychology and Counselling at Salisbury College for sixteen years and worked as a Counsellor in Student Services.

During my time at the college I co-wrote a series of counselling courses which were validated by the ABC Awarding Body and for which we subsequently received a Beacon Award for Excellence in Counselling Training.

As part of my work as the Coordinator of the Diploma in Counselling I negotiated and helped set up counselling services and student placements in local GP Surgeries, Schools and Charities.

I also set up a Mentoring Scheme in the College which involved writing an OCN training course, recruiting and training mentors, pairing mentors with students and supervising the mentors.

I was an active member of various working groups in the College including the Equal Opportunities Working Group and the Values Group.

I come from a forces family and as a child I lived in Singapore, Israel and the Outer Hebrides and have travelled widely since.

I am based in Salisbury where I have lived for many years.

I love my work and consider it a great privilege to work with people at times of change in their lives and to be able to play a part in their development and transformation.
